Replacements

Circumstances under which replacements are required:

  • The ring purchased is the wrong size.
  • The ring purchased is the wrong color.
  • The ring purchased does not function with their target device (Phone/Tablet/Door lock). (Target device must be NFC compatible.)
  • The ring bearer has been in possession of the ring for less than 30 days and wants to change their ring.
  • A ring supplied by McLear Ltd has developed a fault within a 12 month period and there are no signs of intentional damage or excessive wear and tear.

The Replacement Process

  • The ring bearer should contact support@nfcring.com in the first instance, providing information on their current ring, their problem and what size/style they would like to exchange to.
  • The ring bearer should be offered a choice of:
    • Purchasing an additional second ring and being refunded when their original ring arrives with us.
    • Purchasing an additional second ring at a discounted rate.
    • Sending their current ring back and receiving a replacement ring in due course.
  • Should a similar color size ring option not be immediately available, the ring bearer should be offered a ring of the same value that is available on the NFC Ring online store.
  • The ring bearer should send the faulty ring back to the UK distribution point.

    • At this time, we cannot accept items sent via courier to this address (eg: Fedex/DHL/UPS/Hermes etc)
    • In the packaging please include your email address, any order documentation you have and your preferred size/sku also a return address
    • Please include your name and returns address so it is clearly visible on the back of your package
  • The ring returned by the ring bearer must be in new condition (No marks or scratches).

Admin Fees Required

If you ordered the wrong size ring, provided an incorrect/incomplete address, or would like to change the style of ring you ordered, we require a non-refundable fee of £15 per ring to cover our admin and shipping cost overheads.

Any items returned to us for either exchange or refund may take up to 14 days to be processed.

Refunds

Circumstances under which refunds are considered:

  • You have been in possession of the ring for less than 14 days and the ring is in "as new" condition.
  • The ring has developed a fault within a 12 month period and there are no obvious signs of foul play or excessive wear and tear.
  • You haven't received your order and have contacted us within 3 months of placing your order to notify us.

For rings returned within 14 days of notifying us, we will refund our original shipping costs. If you opted for expedited shipping during purchase, only standard shipping costs will be refunded.

For rings returned due to product fault, we will refund our original shipping costs. If you opted for expedited shipping during purchase, only standard shipping costs will be refunded. If the value of the goods is reduced due to more than necessary consumer handling, then the refund shall be reduced accordingly. Your right to refund arises only when we actually receive the goods back from you, or you provide proof of postage from the post office, preferably with a tracking number. If a ring is returned to us due to a manufacturer fault and it is proven to be faulty, we will refund your shipping costs to send it back to us (upon proof of postage being shown). If expedited shipping was paid for, then only standard shipping costs shall be refunded. Claimed faulty items will be tested by us when received.

The Refund Process

  • You must request your return in writing with 14 days of receiving your order by emailing support@nfcring.com stating your request.
  • You should send the faulty ring back to the UK distribution point within 28 days of receiving the order.
  • In the case of a faulty ring (and if requested), a replacement ring will be sent out. Note: We can only process refunds back on to the original payment source.
    • Should a ring bearer send a ring back and it not be received by McLear Ltd, tracking information should be provided that provides proof of shipping.

  • In the packaging please include your email address, any order documentation you have and your preferred size/sku and also a return address

Questions / Scenarios:

  • What if I lose my ring but need exactly the same ring inlays?
    There is nothing McLear Ltd can do about this. You will have to purchase a replacement ring.
  • Is there any possibility to organize back shipping from UK, for example in Switzerland where the shipment costs more than a new ring?
    Sadly no, maybe in the future when we expand we will find a way to make this feasible, but for now the best we can offer is shipping back to the UK.
  • How should I package and ship my ring for return?
    Package your ring in a strong jiffy bag that wont split in shipping. Shipping costs can usually be minimised by sending as "large letter" or your local equivalent service. Ship your ring tracked. If your ring fails to arrive with us there is very little we can do to help you.
